From abandoned in a fruit crate Sunset Park, to living in a loving home - River is certainly living the life she deserves now!
This cutie pie was found in the park, bottle fed by one of our amazing fosters, and finally adopted into a family who loves her and cherishes her. She is being spoiled and living the good life with her new family, and we are so happy her story turned out to be a happy one ❤
Thank you to everyone who supported River and her siblings by sending formula, donations, and love from afar. She survived and is thriving because of all of you! 🙏
We can't wait to follow her story and watch her grow into her family!

Are you looking for a wild and free companion with a heart of gold? We've got her here! ❤
We love Millie and her total lust for life! She is a big girl with big dreams and busting out of here and bringing joy to your heart! Even though she is such a happy dog, she is really struggling in the shelter environment. The sooner we can find her a good home, the better!
Millie is a gorgeous, energetic 4-year-old dog. We just love the happy energy she brings to the party! Millie was found as a stray in the Camp Verde area and never claimed 😔 She has the most stunning eyes and darling tiny floppy ears that are always bouncing as she runs around the park.
Millie goes bananas over every single toy and is working on her manners while she's with us. One thing that does calm Millie down a bit is a good massage/scratch session. She loves her head and neck scratched and will just lean into you for all the love you can give her ❤ Receiving love and attention really calms her down.
This big girl would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, have a nice big yard to run in, and a family who will love her wild energy and help her learn some life skills. We think she would do really well with some extra training and would probably be happy to learn some new tricks. She doesn't always know her size and strength and would probably do best in a home with no kids (or older kids).
We could use some help getting Millie's story out there! Can you please like and share this post to help Millie reach more people?! She's been with us for 7 months now, and it's really been hard on her 🙏
If you would like to meet this happy, bouncy 4-year-old lady, give us a call! We know she will make you smile! 928-282-4679

Meet Jasper & Peaches! 😍😍
These two beauties did not have the easiest start to life. They came to us together and were pretty shy when they first arrived. While they are still a little timid when you first approach them, we've found Churu treats usually do the trick to get them out of hiding! Once you feed them a Churu, they open up and start to play!
Jasper & Peaches love to play with string toys and catnip is also very exciting! They have the most stunning golden eyes, and while they are not bonded, they seem to love each other very much. You can often find them snuggling together in one bed! 🥹
These two are about 7 months old. They are fixed, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccines! If you'd like to meet them, please give us a call and set up an appointment! They're ready for a fresh start! 928-282-4679

Shyest kitty, Covey, has had such a hard time here at the shelter. He was transferred to us from another shelter and has barely come out of hiding since he arrived.
But fear not! There are some pretty amazing people out there whose hearts go out to struggling animals and aren't deterred by how they present in the shelter. This amazing adopter saw Covey and knew she could give him a place to decompress and learn that life isn't so scary.
We are so grateful to you for adopting this beautiful boy who was struggling so much. We can't wait to hear how he blossoms in a loving home. Thank you!! 🙏

We adopted a partly feral cat 4 weeks ago from a cat rescue. She’d never been in a house before. But she did love pets if you could get close enough. First week was horrendous. She hid, she climbed out log walls and got on shelves 16’ above🤯couldn’t find her half the time…but after the first 10 days, we made sure when we saw her to pet her back a few times and lie on the floor waiting for her. By the 3rd week, we bought a wooded toy that has a scratch pad on top and balls and bells she can push or knock on a circle but can’t get them out. She loved it. That toy has helped her relax. Now 4 wks later, she is following me. Loves pets. Still hides occasionally. Can’t pick her up yet, but she’s vey funny, is my shadow. Something that helped us get her to come out-the freeze dried treats. Pure minnows or chicken giblets. They stink. But when we do see her, we shake the bag a little to associate the treats with the sound, then pour out a treat. She LOVES the giblets. In one week, she’s figured out if I shake that bag, she gets a treat. She comes running. Give him a month. He will be so much happier
Bless you🥰
That’s fantastic news !! Thank you for helping Covey
Yay for Covey! And his amazing new Mama! Go learn how to cat now little man!
Thank you!!!
Happy Kitty Dance 😻🐾🐾😻
Yay Covey!!!
It feels so good to make a homeless animal smile 🥰
Do you have a little extra time and a whole lot of love to give? Come volunteer as a dog helper at the shelter 💙
Our pups need more than just food and shelter — they need walks in the sunshine, playtime in the park, and someone to sit beside them while they wait for their forever home. Whether you’re tossing a ball, sharing a quiet moment in the kennel, or helping a shy dog feel safe, you’re making a difference in their lives.
Volunteer shifts are flexible and just require a couple hours a week.
No experience necessary — just a big heart and a little time. 🐶

Uh my diabetic cat is manageable with feeding Fancy feast classic exclusively. She hasn't needed insulin in 8 years. I wish she was managed without insulin I'd love to let her live with my girls
Paws crossed and shared for Zora
There is a synthetic insulin made for cats that does not need to be injected. It can be put in canned food or squirted into the cats mouth. It is called Senvelgo.
