Appointments are required to meet BOTH cats and dogs currently, so call now to select a time to meet any animals you might be interested in adopting at 928-282-4679 between 10am and 4pm daily.

Found newborn kittens? Wait! Mom may be nearby searching for food or hiding from you. When kittens are young, the best place for them is with their mom.
If the kittens are in an unsafe location, appear distressed or mom hasn't returned for several hours, first make sure they are warm, then then reach out to us for help.

BISSELL Pet Foundation is once again prompting a national call for adoption with its Spring National “Empty the Shelters” reduced-fee adoption event. The Humane Society of Sedona is one of more than 410 organizations participating in this lifesaving event to place deserving pets in loving homes.
We will be running a "30-30-30" Adoption Special during the Empty the Shelters Adoption Event taking place May 1st through May 15th. Any animal over 30 pounds or who has been with us over 30 days will have a reduced adoption fee of just $30. We will also be waiving adoption fees on a few of our special needs animals!

Have you noticed some changes happening at Paws West Thrift Shop? We are in the midst of a huge store reset and we couldn't be more excited! We have a big team putting in a lot of work incorporating new fixtures and a fresh design for Paws West. Thank you for your patience as we get creative in our space! We hope for the reset to be complete early this summer! Stay tuned!

Bindy is a 2-year-old, 60-pound ball of love and energy! She is a Mountain Cur mix with a striking brindle coat that's sure to turn heads. Bindy was transferred to the Humane Society of Sedona in January 2024 from another shelter. She has been waiting months and months to someone to find her and fall in love.
Bindy is a big girl and needs a strong, active person who can keep up with her energy level and help her learn new things. She is super smart and eager to learn - a highly trainable gal! She is quite playful and goofy and she absolutely loves going on hikes and running around the park. She would make such a great adventure buddy and we're all so ready to see her thrive. Bindy is a sweet as she is beautiful. Those honey eyes of hers are sure to make you swoon. She does get along with other dogs, but she can be a little high energy for some dogs, so a meet and greet is always recommended.

I walked Bindy on Saturday and she knows sit and stay perfectly. Very easy to walk on a leash! Bindy is definitely a smart, friendly, fun and lovable dog. Open your home and heart to Bindy and you won't be disappointed!!!

I know "Brindie" (I named her) from the other shelter. She came in just after I started working. I will never forget her. She was SOOO scared. But she blossomed into a beautiful, loving, playful girl. She was definitaley on my favorites list. I miss seeing her every day. Someone's going to fall in love with you real soon Brindie girl.
